We are so proud of our 12 young calf rearers 😍 – the calves looked immaculate and so professionally presented at the Tenbury Show 🐮✨
This presentation marks the halfway point of their rearing journey, which began when the Powell family and ourselves sponsored 12 Aberdeen Angus calves for local under-16s to rear as part of a brand-new competition run by the Tenbury Agricultural Society.
Each young participant has been learning the full process of calf rearing – from feeding, handling, and showing, to keeping costings and medical records for their individually assigned calf.
On Saturday 2nd August, at Tenbury Show, the rearers were judged on their handling and presentation skills🏆.
A huge thank you to the Tenbury Agricultural Society for organising such a fantastic initiative and giving these young farmers the opportunity to showcase their hard work 👏 We look forward to check back in with our rearers when the calf’s are fully reared for final judging!!
