Beef Open Day 2022: Celebrating #GBCalfWeek
On 18th November 2022, Meadow Quality, alongside Genus ABS, hosted a Beef Open Day 2022 to celebrate #GBCalfWeek. The event welcomed a fantastic turnout, including both new and familiar faces from the dairy and beef sectors, industry bodies, and our hosts at Warham.
Showcasing Feed Efficiency and Genetics
The event took place at a 500-head beef finishing unit supplied with feed-efficient calves reared by Meadow Quality. Guests observed the Intergado hardware, which collects data for our tri-party project, and explored the Genus ABS genetics and their financial and physical outcomes.
The day highlighted the importance of identifying genetics that enhance performance and efficiency in both beef and dairy supply chains, while also reducing the sector’s carbon footprint.
