Welcoming Niamh Williams to Meadow Quality
We’re thrilled to welcome Niamh Williams to the Meadow Quality team as our new Trainee Field Officer.
Niamh grew up on her family’s farm near Wrexham, surrounded by beef cattle and sheep. From a young age, she took an active role in daily farm work, learning the value of hard work and animal care. Over the years, she also gained experience on a neighbour’s sheep farm, further building her hands-on knowledge of livestock management.
Niamh’s Journey in Agriculture
After finishing school, Niamh studied Agriculture with Animal Science at Harper Adams University. During her course, she worked as a vet tech for a local farm vet, gaining valuable insight into animal health and welfare.
Later, Niamh joined Genus on their graduate scheme, where she spent 18 months expanding her skills and confidence across different areas of the livestock industry. This experience helped her strengthen her interest in genetics and animal performance.
In her spare time, Niamh helps her partner rear calves and store lambs. She enjoys every part of hands-on farm life and is always keen to learn something new.
Looking Ahead with Meadow Quality
Niamh said:
“I’m excited to get started in my new role and look forward to getting out on farm and meeting our customers.”
You’ll often find Niamh at our Ash Calf Collection Centre, ready to meet farmers and support them with their livestock needs. Make sure to say hello when you see her!
The entire Meadow Quality team is delighted to have Niamh on board. Her enthusiasm, practical knowledge, and strong communication skills will make her a great asset to both our team and our farmers.
