R.A.B.I. – the Royal Agricultural Benevolent Institution – is a welfare charity for farming people in financial difficulty. Support is offered in confidence to people of all ages, and includes one-off, emergency or regular grants, as well as payments to cover the cost of replacing essential household items and disability equipment. For working farmers R.A.B.I can also fund relief farm staff to help in a crisis, as well as training through our Gateway scheme. Retired and/or disabled people can be helped as R.A.B.I can pay towards care homes or home-help costs. R.A.B.I also run two residential homes of their own.
As a farmer owned and operated business we understand the pressures that go hand in hand with being a farmer. R.A.B.I are there for all people involved in our industry and provide an invaluable service. We are proud to be affiliated with R.A.B.I and the work they do.
R.A.B.I relies on the generosity of our supporters to be able to provide help to farming people when it is needed most. To donate by phone, call 01865 724931
To donate by text, text RABI18 followed by the £ sign and the amount you wish to donate to 70070 (eg RABI18£5)
Anyone can get into financial difficulty through no fault of their own.
As a welfare charity it’s people R.A.B.I support - not businesses. They help farmers and farmworkers of any age, provided they currently work in farming, or used to work in farming and have retired through age, illness or disability. R.A.B.I also help their dependants.
You can contact R.A.B.I on someone’s behalf - tell R.A.B.I if you wish to remain anonymous. If the person has given you permission for R.A.B.I to call they will telephone them, otherwise they will write to say someone is concerned and offer help.
The R.A.B.I helpline is: 0808 2819490. This number is staffed during office hours and is the first port of call for all enquiries.
